Accreditation evaluation implementation system / Evaluation procedure | ![]() |
The Committee for Creating Evaluation System on Nursing Programs in Universities thinks it desirable that accreditation evaluation in JANPU should take the form of peer review between nursing education organizations (nursing curricula) for the present.
That is, universities chosen as subjects of evaluation are paired, and the evaluation committee at one of the pair of universities includes the other college of the pair (see the figure).
However, because 2007 accreditation evaluation was the first trial of the evaluations, the evaluation committee composed mainly of the members of the Committee for Creating Evaluation System on Nursing Programs in Universities was organized.
Each of the subject colleges carries out self-assessment, and prepares the evaluation report.
The self-assessment report of each college is confirmed by the evaluation committee.
With the self-assessment report as reference, necessary items for on-the-spot investigation are listed.
The evaluation committee visits each college, and conducts hearing and inspection.
Evaluation based on self-assessment and the results of on-the-spot investigation are unified, and the comprehensive results are reported to each college.
